"Judging a restaurant is subjective, I've seen some reviews of this restaurant that are so so but, it depends on your night. For me it was a fabulous experience. The restaurant was recommended by a friend and as I was only in Rome 2 nights I chose to try it. Rather than eat pasta that I can have at home I chose something a little different. For entre it was a tomato filled with goat cheese, then for main it was the grilled seabass with a side of artichokes. Both meals were exceptional and I highly recommended them. My wife had the prosciuto and melon for entre and saltinbocca with grilled vegetables on the side. Unfamiliar with the local wines, our waiter recommended a lovely white wine from sardegnia, excellent choice for our meal. We were so happy with the food and service we returned the following night and each had the grilled seabass. I would easily eat there again next time I return to Rome. The staff was professional but warm and friendly. The restaurant manager Francesca was equally so."
"The best!!! We like to sit for a longtime to eat. And at this restaurant we could! We orderd starter/ antipasti and a glas of wine. We said we wanted a big paus between starter and main course. And we just made thumbs up to the waieter when we where ready for main course ,scaloppina in salsa tartufata! We had dinner here two times during stay. The music was nice and low so we could have a conversation. Just fix lock on womens toilett and fix the bin , due the pedal was broken."
"Osteria dell’Anima is a little culinary gem hidden near Piazza Navona, right in the heart of Rome. Every dish here tells a story of love for authentic Roman cuisine — made from fresh, high-quality ingredients and infused with soul. The chef cooks with passion and respect for tradition, and the service is warm and genuinely caring. And when their cacio e pepe arrives, time seems to stand still — a dish so simple, yet absolutely perfect. It was love at first bite."
"Fantastic Roman Dinner Near Piazza Navona We had an amazing dinner at Osteria dell’Anima just off Piazza Navona. Our waiter, Giovani, was incredibly professional, friendly, and patient — truly exceptional service. We ordered a bottle of wine, salmon tartare, lobster spaghetti, grilled seabass, beef filet with green peppercorn sauce, and rigatoni carbonara — every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. We finished with a perfect tiramisu. Great atmosphere, excellent food, and top-notch service. Highly recommended!"
"Osteria dell’Anima – A Hidden Gem Near Piazza Navona Tucked away in the charming backstreets surrounding Piazza Navona, Osteria dell’Anima is truly a hidden treasure. We stumbled upon this delightful spot during one of our many walks through Rome, and it quickly became a favorite. The food is wonderful — the orecchiette with broccoli is my personal favorite — and every dish is full of authentic Italian flavor. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a genuinely charming atmosphere that feels both local and inviting. Lunchtime is especially memorable thanks to their fabulous host, she seems to have every detail perfectly under control. Whenever we’re in Rome, we make it a point to visit at least once. Osteria dell’Anima is an absolute must-try!"
"Loved coming back to this restaurant. Was here just before pandemic in 2019 and again in Oct 2024. The quality & flavour of the food hasn’t changed. Staff treat you so well. Always a pleasure coming here. Going again tonight before our flight home tomorrow delizioso, grazie Love that 1 litre Beer Update…Originally had all 5 stars but tonight’s dinner was a bit under cooked. Bit disappointing from lunch yesterday which was fabulous!!"
"My husband and I searched every single site for the “best food” in Rome. Our last night, on my way to another restaurant, I spotted this menu. THE LITERAL BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. Staff was amazing, food incredible, atmosphere perfect. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable. I will go every time I am here, in fact I might need to go get lunch before I leave."
"I loved this restaurant right next to Piazza Navona. The food is amazing! I had the spaghetti with crabs and it was divine. They have all typical Roman dishes and the staff is incredible. The owner Niro is very attentive to every guest and an excellent Sommelier. Had the best Italian wine. Finished off with some heavenly Tiramisu and a Limoncello. Will definitely visit again."
